Brian Seaman joined Tourism for All (the new name for Holiday Care) in 1993 from a background of working within both the English Tourist Board and the London Convention Bureau. His work has taken him right across the UK, to Ireland, France, Belgium, Holland, Majorca and the USA.

His consultancy work has involved close liaison with people at all levels in the world of tourism and with individuals and groups dealing with disability issues. Brian has represented Tourism for All / Holiday Care on several national committees and working groups reviewing criteria that relate to accessibility at accommodation, attractions and ports and ferries. As well as assessing properties using the ‘National Accessible Scheme’ criteria, he has advised on a range of diverse projects including Destination Access Audits for Brighton & Hove City Council and Marketing Birmingham to creating an accessible ferry port, and has been working recently with organisations such as the Cross-River Partnership in London, the National Trust, Intercontinental Hotel Group and the Continuum Group.

He has also written Good Practice guides for England’s tourist information centre network, the National Caravan Council and Surrey Tourism. Additionally he has been involved in training issues, providing the basis for VisitBritain’s ‘Welcome All’ training programme.
