Holton Lee

 

Holton Lee is a registered charity with a range of respite care and holiday accommodation for disabled people in the beautiful Dorset countryside.

Holton Lee provides catered accommodation in The Barn, which is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and enabling disabled people to get away from the stresses of life. The facilities at Holton Lee have been designed and built to ensure that they are accessible to everyone.

We want to ensure that you receive the level of support and assistance that you require to make your stay as trouble-free as possible, so personal assistance is on hand in The Barn to provide personal care, giving regular carers a break.  Bookings can be made for individuals, couples, families and groups.

The atmosphere at Holton Lee is relaxed and informal. Visitors can spend their time exploring the beautiful 350 acre site with a diverse range of wildlife (golf buggies and rough terrain scooters are available to hire), visiting Faith House - a gallery and exhibition space, participating in arts workshops and working in the artists' studios which are available for hire. Situated near Poole, the site is also a perfect base from which to explore the world heritage Jurassic Coast, and countless other Dorset attractions.

Abbeyfield (Fairlight Avenue), Woodford Green, IG8

A Care Home providing personal care, it is part of Abbeyfield UK - a voluntary organisation that owns a number of homes. This home accommodates 18 residents in 18 single rooms (18 en suite). It is a converted building with a garden, and opened around 1987. Facilities are available for family or friends to stay overnight.

The Willows, Kingsbury, London NW9  

A Care Home providing personal care, it is part of Abbeyfield UK - a voluntary organisation that owns a number of homes. They would welcome respite provided they have a room vacant at the time you require. This home accommodates 28 residents in 28 single rooms (5 en suite). It is purpose built and has a garden, and opened around 1983.

Joan, a State Registered Nurse, offers respite care in her own home for elderly and disabled people.  She has 20 years experience, and offers comfortable surroundings, home cooked food, a large garden and outings.  Joan can provide 2 levels of care - companionship minimum care, which is £490.00 per week (£70.00 per day) or assistance with personal care, such as bathing and dressing, which is £510.00 per week (£73.00 per day).  Most suitable for people who's family / carers wish to take their own break.

The Kymin, Monmouth, South East Wales, UK

We offer short breaks & respite to people of any age with a light disability, and one carer/parent, in separate self-catering accommodation in our home.

Suitable for anyone with special needs from 8 years of age onwards, and one parent or carer. Ideal for people with learning difficulties, with a slight physical disability, or with easy-to-manage autism.

Regrettably, wheelchair access is unavailable.

Fully approved and CRB-checked, part-time Foster Carer is offering continuous one-to-one daytime supervision of one person, including snack, light lunch and wholesome & nutritious main meal at teatime, with special dietary needs catered for. She will accompany and support the person with the disability (for up to 9 hours maximum per day), leaving the parent/carer free to relax in stress-free, calm surroundings, on the premises (self-catering) or elsewhere.
