Eureka! The National Children’s Museum
Our commitment to accessibility begins before you leave home, with a peek at our online guide for visitors with communication needs, and continues when you park in an accessible parking space just 50 yards from the entrance, sees you past the queue with our fast tracking for visitors with additional needs, and really takes off inside Eureka! where our trained front of house staff and accessible galleries will ensure that your visit is both enjoyable and hassle free.
Eureka! offers BSL interpretation in some galleries, the loan of ear defenders and wheelchairs, front of house staff with basic sign and autism awareness training, a fully accessible Changing Place and a chill out space for visitors’ use. Ring a couple of weeks in advance of your visit and you can book our free Extra Pair of Hands service– a member of staff dedicated to your family for up to two hours to make sure everyone has the best day ever.
We’re proud of the awards we’ve received from the sector for our inclusive approach, but we’re even prouder of the consistently high ratings our team receive, because they come from visitors like you. With accessible hotels and the newly refurbished 18th century Piece Hall nearby, why not make a weekend of it? We look forward to welcoming you!
