Here are a few examples of the accessible tourism support services we provide to businesses:
- Accessibility Guide tool:
In partnership with VisitEngland, we provide a tool to help businesses promote themselves to customers with accessibility requirements: the accessibility guide website. It enables businesses to create a clear and detailed guide of the accessibility features of their venue in a standardised format (and in plain English).
Providing an access guide enables visitors to easily access the information they need, and empowers them to make informed decisions about their travel plans. Create your accessibility guide here.
- Advice guides:
We have published a series of advice guides for businesses to get familiar with accessible tourism and what it entails:
- Easy does it: simple, low cost changes to benefit you and your visitors
- Inclusive and Accessible Events: a guide for event organisers
- Take the lead: a guide to welcoming customers with assistance dogs
- Accessibility Training Course:
Our online Accessible Tourism training course – aimed at managers and key frontline staff of tourism businesses – is a one hour free crash course to familiarise you with best practice in catering to the accessible tourism market.
